RAQUEL DEVILLE IS WORKING ON THERAPEUTIC YOGA SEQUENCES FOR PARKINSON'S DISEASE.
YOGA AND YOGA BREATHING ARE INCREDIBLY BENEFICIAL IN RELIEVING SYMPTOMS OF CERTAIN DISEASES, ESPECIALLY THOSE OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM.

"ONE OF THE
POSTURES
RECOMMENDED FOR
PARKINSON'S DISEASE
IS THE TREE OR
VRKSASANA."
Yoga helps relieve the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, except for anxiety. For anxiety you have to work on breathing. There are several pranayamas that help. Yoga works on stability and balance.
With breathing we can stimulate our reactions, because it acts directly on the nervous system. For example, by choosing a nostril and the type of breathing, we can activate the nervous system so that we have more energy or to calm ourselves down.
Parkinson's is complicated and this is not a study exercise, it is a real case. Of course, that
motivates me a lot to do research and work on the subject.
This is a classic balancing act. It helps strengthen your ankles, legs and spine while stretching
your thighs, chest and shoulders. It can help you improve your balance while relieving sciatica pain. The muscles worked are: right and transverse abdomen, adductor longus, iliacus, quadriceps, hamstrings.
HOW TO VRKSASANA?
Grab the fabric from the bottom and gently step onto the hammock with the right foot.
Stay with your hands at eye level.
Take the left leg behind the fabric and tie it in front, above or below the knee, to protect it. To avoid swaying, make slow movements and keep your abs
tight.
When you feel secure, pass your right arm forward through the fabric and bring the triceps forward, hands in prayer.
Take five breaths.
Change legs and arms.
